1JZ - Missing under boost - Farts like gearshift...

Hey.. since dubbo i've had this hassle and i've tryed many things to fix it. TOnigth i pulled the fcd out so its not that.
It farts like it does on gear shift but it does it heaps when you come on boost... anyone else had this hassle?? i'd love to fix it.
DO u think it could be gearbox related??
I've done spark plugs... not that!

My EVO did the same thing a while back.
It was one of the plug leads, the part that goes into the head had a tiny split in it and it was arcing to the head.
New leads fixed it.
I know the 1JZ doesn't have plug leads as such, but it could be a similar problem with the part from the coil to the plug.
Or one of the coils could be knackered!!

hey luke . considering that the fart is the ecu pulling ignition out .then its likely E30-323ti is right .
i have a spare set of lead iginitor coils etc.Your welcome to try them . its possible a coil is breaking down ive heard of this happening before
email me or ring if you need them

freaky!!!!! mines doing the exact same thing dewd i've worked out its the box...it slips i tells the engine to back off (well misfires it so you dont stuff every thing up...i came to this conclusion when boosting in fourth at high speed....

ahhh u could be right there. That would explain why it does it more under more boost and the motor revs perfectly until u power it up...
for example i can load it up to about 6-7 pounds doing maybe 5000-6000rpm.. but if u hit it hard, 10psi, fart fart fart.
Would also explain why sometimes it just goes damn hard and doesn't miss.. the box is getting grip.
DAMN IT! 2nd BOX !.. maybe its not dead. Just needs some tlc!

nothing wrong with my BOX boys .. filled it up with oil.. no more slippies... and guess what..
SHES FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
was the coil packs.. now i gotta pay for the suckers
