10 million dollar insurance policy to use skidpan

being too tight to have crazy fun on public roads i enquired about the skidpan at oran park today to find out that u need a 10 million dollar public liability insurance policy to hire it for a day...
WTF $10mil is this normal?
what car clubs out there have policies like this?
the lady was unable to tell me of car clubs that have previously hired the skidpan out, while so, i was doing my best not to yell "ARE U F#CKING SERIOUS!?!?!?" into the phone, i then politely thanked her and hung up... 
anyone know of any other skidpans in NSW?

The Toymods Car Club has $10 million public liability insurance 
... and yes for high risk/expensive events it is normal

Dont quote me on this but i think Eastern Creeks Skid Pan is about $1800 to hire for the day.

that would be worth it though with 20-30 cars... make some great video's out of it... lots of sideways action
