hi people! Rolling

im just wondering if anyone on the Central Coast knows of a good place to get a wheel alignment done.

i've had multiple wheel alignments done in the past few years and noone can align the wheels and also manage to straighten the steering wheel as well.

when i ask them, they say "no problems", then when i take it for a test drive after, its no different! Nope Cry

at first i thought, it must be the camber of the road but after driving on flat roads the car tracks straight but the steering wheel is still skewed to the left. then i thought, it must be the car itself, but i've had a 86 corona, 86 cressida (twin cam croozer!) and now a 97 corolla and they all experienced the same problem.

i know i'm petty, but its just annoying, and its harder to take a right hand turn than a left hand.

is what i want impossible or is it just laziness on the mechanics part?

any suggestions of a mechanic who can actually perform this apparently highly intricate procedure please let me know.

thanks

Been hitting a few gutters eh?

You get an off-center steering wheel while the wheels are aligned straight, from bent main control arms. Usually the left one.

Don't start me on Bob Jane !! No No No 6 MONTHS without my Mags and tyres that I was still paying off. They were sent away for a warranty job, (paint was peeling) and they tried to hit me with a charge when they finally came back!!

It took three letters from a Solicitor to get them back ! (Lucky my girlfriends old man is one Rolling )

Thats no good. I guess everywhere you go can get good/bad service.

I personally don't like leaving my car at any wheel place. Wish I had the equipment to do it myself. But don't, so do not have much of a choice Sad

if your worried about leaving your car at a mechanic, they stay with it while they work on it.

i once went to autoalley at paramatta with a mate, and there is a carwash accross from a caryard we were at. you just drop your car off and they wash it, then you pick it up later.

what the customers didnt know what they while the employees were washing their cars, they were also doing burnouts and thrashing them thru back streets.

this was in broad daylight, we were just sitting there watching them bag it up out the front of the car wash!

after that i vowed never leave my car at a mechanic in case they do it to my car, id rather sit there and wait.
