i think ive stuffed the auto and waz wondering what box i can slot in its placee easily curently running the JZX81 chaser auto...was thinking of changing to a manual

the most common is the w58 (which I've got in mine).
the main problem is that you need a whole lot of 2jz-ge parts to make the gearbox fit. I'm too sick to remember properly, but I think you need the starter at the veryu least

There was an article in Zoom about this. Not very descriptive though.
I think they used the manual from the JZX81 plus a big hammer.
Will you be a tonight's meeting. I can bring it along if you'd like.

W58 can't hold up too much power though... if you want a M/T that's gonna last, R154 is the only way to go (or a V160, but you'd have to sell the Cressi to buy one).

w58 (the good ones from 7m-ge and 2jz-ge) can easily take 400 horsies (just ask paul)
of course, if you were going anything much more than 400bhp I'd be looking at the r154

I've got a W58 with a custom bellhousing to my 1JZ. I think it was under 500 for the work.
