Hi Solo Good to hear from another RAVer! I'm buying my Rav off my parents currently...they bought it new back in '96. I’ve been driving it since I got my P’s. The only thing i don't like is that it's an auto…it’s good for cruising and off roading but sometimes I wish it were a manual so I could get all 96kW of power out of that 3S-FE donk! But other than that it's a fantastic car…taken it offroading, speeding, hooning, hand brakeying, etc. My ultimate dream is to drop in a turbo...that'll take a few years but it will happen.
My current mods: 2 blue under-dash neons, 1 purple dancing mood neon, voltmeter, exhaust tip, clear front bumper and side indicators, bumper mounted foggies, Narva Plus 50 and Plus 30 Xenon globes, aluminium pedals, VDO speed alert, fire extinguisher, U.S. spec centre console box/armrest, K&N drop in filter.
As you can see no major mods…but I am taking delivery of an aluminium intake system in the next couple of weeks which will replace the drop in K&N filter:

I might also be able to get my hands on a free Autotecnica filtershield very soon:

Future mods include: custom plates, CRV hate sticker, stereo, painted grille, Sportivo badgework, eyelids, front strut brace, checkerplating, LEDs, more neons, lowering springs and shockers, cat back exhaust system, rims/rubber, turbo!
How about you? What mods done to your RAV?
Moza

No offence but " RICRAV" would be my choice for the custom plates - Good for a bit of a laugh ( joking not taking a swipe ! )
Good to see you got a 'yota too - the Rav's are pretty sweet softroaders - might look at one in my later less GT4 years for a dog hauler
remember you arent playing around with a Sportscar - so play it safe while having fun .. Even a softroader like yours would have some of the inherit bodyrole of the bigger brothers - that will effect handling to a great degree if pushed hard .
re turbo - theres a guy on this list thats doing a 3sgte swap i believe for his rav4 - but the name evades me atm
Play it safe - have fun - and enjoy!

Hi Classique71 Don't worry mate...no offence taken. I'm used to that "rice" stuff...i get it from my friends. But you have to agree it's no where as riced as the cars doing the rounds in Box Hill (i live next to Box Hill so i should know)
Speaking of body roll, yes, there is a bit of that but not as bad as my dad's 2003 LandCruiser...after i've driven the LandCruiser and get into my Rav i feel like i'm driving a go kart I've almost tipped my Rav over once...was slipping and sliding around a gravel car park (as you do) when my friend decides to pull up on the hand brake...i could feel 2 of the wheels lifting off the ground but i caught it just in time. That's why a lowering job is in my Rav's future. Speaking of the dude who's going to drop a 3S-GTE in his Rav, yeah i know him. I know him from a RAV4 dedicated forum.
You got a sweet ride there...always love it when a GT4 comes into work. Next time a blue Rav4 pulls up next to you make sure you look for the riceage Take it easy man!

Hi Solo Nah, i'm not in Box Hill...i'm next door in Doncaster...but i pass thru Box Hill frequently. I have a Cobalt Blue Rav4 (pic below). This colour is quite common but if you see one with yellow foggies in the bumper then it's mine!
What colour is your Ravvie?

We had a turboed rav in my work yesterday. Front mount cooler running 5 pounds only. He had popped a drive shaft and was trying to get warranty on it after he had lowered it about 4 inches and stuck 20 inch rims on. I cant believe he actually thought they would give it to him.

oh sorry Feeva!!! HEY BOYS AND BABES! anyway i dont plan to make any mods to my rav, hope to sell it soon for a faster car, either the type r or mr2 twin entry. I think my ravvie has had its day, been everywhere with it and tried to drag nearly every possible sports car embarrasing but fun! hehe
