hey brent how did you manage to do that.
hey i think that R154 looks like a toyota code
so i would say most likey that a toyota one will fit but maybe not all. I think they all vary a bit but im sure that you wouldnt need to get say like a supra or soarer one like off another 1jz

R154 is my gearbox bill.
Stupid starter just carked it. One mob had one for $350 but couldnt say if it worked or not, so im like stuff that.
Hopefully i can find one, otherwise might have to buy another whole 1jzgte + r154

ok, no just see a a local mecanic about it.
He should have a list of all the starter motors and stuff.
well what is the code on your starter moter then.
Should be Rt##.... or R##...

2jzgte starters fit 
2JZGTE starters are gear reduction.
Soarer starters will fit.

None of the local auto electricians round here can get them, one was going to try on monday.

I know local mechanic dont have them but they might have like a list, or repco auto, they would have access to a supra manual. ANd find out what sort they are that way. Then find out if they are a one of or a universal type can be used.

I've got a 2J starter, but you can't have it!!!
Go to Toyota/Lexus dealership and price a starter for an ES300 or LS/LX300. These are the only aussie delivered cars with JZ's in them.

Umm Pete... not sure if I'm reading your post correctly, but:
The ES300 had the 3VZ-FE engine, then the 1MZ-FE, and the LS400 had a 1UZ-FE.
I don't think any Aussie delivered Toyotas had a JZ engine in them.

try GS300 or IS300 they have the 2JZ-GE in them.
