Hey dudes

I want to start a conversion of my AE82 1986 seca with a 4age to a 4agze. I was wondering whether if I get the motor, gearbox and ecu is there anything much else i will need. Will i need a bigger fuel pump..or fuel line. I could get an engine and charger with loom for $680 and source a computer somewhere else. Someone was telling me to check if you get a spark ignitor with it as this is worth about $600 and links into the ecu (not quite sure what it is). The wrecker was telling me i could run the gze off the ge ecu (with switch for charger in car and retard timing but i doubt this claim)

Thanks experts Grin

From what I hear, you should probably get one with the original computer if you can. Apparently the computers from some cause problems with others, like different outputs from AFMs and that sort of thing... I've been doing a bit of research on 4A GZE conversions recently and it seems that most people recomend to not buy the computer and engine seperately.
Anyone here had problems like this?

get the whole thing - ie: loom ECU all sensors ect - especially the two black ones mounted on the firewall which switch the supercharger on/off!

personally if i was going to buy a motor and then get a seperate loom i'd be looking at an aftermarket ECU

Thanks guys - i think you're right, no good doing it on the cheap, better to get everything together or get aftermarket computer. I hear the 4age boxes are destructable if they have a gze hooked up to them so i'll have to check finances Smiley $$ as I realise it's not going to be as cheap as I thought it might. Don't want to do a crappy half job. Thanks again...I'll tell you whats happening wen it gets off the ground
