Hello,
I am running a 3t-gte with its airflow meter. But I wonder if I can use anything bigger... like say, will one from a 1g-gte fit? (I notice that the airflow on the 3t has a Vb connector, while the newers ones don't...does this matter...?)
Comments please....
Cheers!

Yes you could change the airflow meter to a bigger one. I don't think the 1ggte would be the go. Try and find one from a BMW or Volvo some early european cars have larger ones with the same pin out. Pin out isn't every thing. Air flow meters are made up of resistors configured to make voltage dividers. The resitor configuration esentialy determine the fuel calibration. You could put the circuit board from a 3tgteu airflow meter into one of these large ones.
Becarefull of the output ie same range etc. People have had good success with the standard air flow meter ie 300hp with different injectors so I wouldn't worry my self in changing it.

haha... cool... now I atleast don't need to worry.
Cause what I forgot to add is that it's not a 3t-gte... but it's a Volvo B20 running all the 3t-gte FI gear and turbo. And I am planning to push it to 200hp... no more than that. (I hope so atleast.)
