saw an add on TV late last night about the new camry extreme, it said that there were only 300 made. I was just wondering if anyone knows what is so extreme about them?

im guessing VVTi and turbos donr play well together ?
What about those few turbo Celicas ( latest shape ) that have seemed to have popped up in the magazines of late ?
Bring back the 3sgte ! who needs VVTi when you can have that superstrong turbo mill

Why do you need to get rid of vvti in the first place? It serves a good purpose, just include the turbo

1jz and 2jz both run vvti currently in Japan. I guess Toyota havn't realised turbos and vvti dont mix.

Most aftermarket ECU's should be able to use an output to control the vvti solenoid. Obviously, the more advanced the ECU, the better they can control stuff.

If you want an ECU to control VVTi, you pretty much have to buy a Motec. I don't think anything else is advanced enough.

i just remember hearing or reading that s2000's couldn't get turbo cause of honda's variable cam/timing thingy... so i just assumed (mental note NEVER to assume anything again)

I think the problem with turbocharging an S2000 would have more to do with its ridiculously high compression ratio... something like 11.5:1.

Although, if you're like some uni student at my uni (you know the type) with an S2000, he's got I think an Apex'i Power FC (or might just be interceptors), a TD06 and FMIC from a Lancer Evolution.

Yes they usually have to drop the compression ratio, which kind of defeats the purpose of that engine.
The new Euro Accord is out soon 240hp 2.4L 4cylinder ^.^
