Can a CT20 Turbo from a Toyota Desiel engine succesfully be bolted up to a 3t-gteu? what are the difference between the petrol/desiel versions. My ct20 in my 3t-gteu is getting sloppy and i have found a ct20 that has been 'checked over' - working for $100NZ, but it came off a toyota desiel engine. please help.
how much would i sell my sloppy ct20 for? needs a rebuilt, still boosts fine just a little smokey.. only reason the guy is prepared to goto $100 is cause he cant sell it, no demand in NZ for them.

I had been told the turbo i had on my 2tg was off a diesel truck, it only had oil cooling, not water as well. Also the wastegate diaphram was bigger on mine than the petrol CT20's
It boosted qiute early about 2500RPM and was beating some friends with similar engines and more boost.
So all i can say is yes it should bolt up, How it will go will depend on how the rest of the package works.
Good luck dude!!!

the one i have on now(failing) smoking on lift off, boost comes on 2,5k exactly and full boost by 3.5k on 3t-gteu, hows your response on full boost? apparently the bolt up angles are different..the problem is that i hafta get it without first seeing it :9
