Everyone, throw in your opinions..
its is a battel that has been thrown around for ages
Usually its between the RA60 Coupe and the RA40 Liftback
but everyone has thier own opinions
whats the ugliest Celica model ever built?
*Pffft i think it was the original prototype  lol*
yeh but cmon guys
lets settle this once and for all
Oh and by the way where and when is the next club meeting?
is there any in WA n e wehre?!?!?!

Their ain't none in WA unfortunately, because Toymods is primarily a NSW based club.
As for the ugliest, without question, RA60 coupe, followed closely by SA63/RA65 coupe...then the RA40 liftback

Yeah, the coupe is cool, but the liftback just doesn't do it for me
As for the flares, don't get them, they are sooo 80's. Get your guards rolled for that extra width

Basically they attach a thing to your hub, and flare the actual guards slightly. Costs about $40-50 a corner depending on who does it. Won't be huge, like big bolt-on flares, but it'd add some muscle to the guards.

Personally, I'll take an RA60 coupe over the RA40 lift-back anyday. Cockroaches? Just not my cup of tea
BUT, I am a convert, all these pictures of RA40 coupes have got me thinking about my next project car .... 
I'm hoping we can get some sorta Perth 1970s - 1980s Celica, Supra, Cressida day/event/thing happening later in the year. Therer ARE a lot of us around town in the middle of doing engine swaps and general purdying-up work. So, come summer, we should all get together. Keep in touch!

doesnt look very fugly to me(I know it's not stock but still).
My personal opinion is that *A-60 is the uglyest celica body thou every Celica is many times more better looking than any for example volkswagen.
Vermin ra40: I did try to find that pic like an hour over the net and eventually I find it from your page. Great pages, great car. I hope best luck to you with your car.

The RA60's coupe's have evil/angry looking tail lights. and the ass end is really square, give a volvo a run for it's money.
I don't like the RA40's with the round headlights thought. The square one's look much better.

Anyway, this is my opinion and I am sure I will offend most people reading this post.
The 22 ain't too bad, 23 good and the 28 sex on wheels. From then on it is a very rapid down hill slide. The new ones have really been beaten with the ugly stick.
I do have to agree, though the RA40 coupe is ok but the hatch back or wagon or hearse or whatever you want to call it is pretty ordinary.

Strollas are not only slow they are ugly too!
As for ugliest celica.... ra60 coupe without question...
the 40 series are average but every now and then you see a real nice one like Neils at Dubbo....

Ra60 coupe gets my vote - theres something wrong with that back end - then ra40 liftback ..
ra40 coupe can look ok with some bodywork + nice wheels - but no where in the realm ot the TA's and 23'28's

I drive an RA 60 Coupe, and yes, they are ugly. Mine has Supra flares on it, so it looks a bit fatter. But the Group B Rally TA64s looked awesome, esp. the one with the big flared guards, and recessed fixed headlights. Go to the TTE website to see TA64 coupe rally action. It\'s funny seeing the look of disgust on rex drivers faces as they drive past my 80s Ugly, little do they know that back in the day TA64s were doing a good 100km/h faster on the same rally tracks their beloved Scoobydoos win. Group B was only canned cos people kept on getting killed...
I\'m suprised nobody has mentioned the RA 60 Convertables! All the squareness of the coupe with a rag top... I would love to combine one of these with a supra or Celica XX front end. Be like a pimp supra.
RA40 liftbacks, especially the earlier models that were styled in california, are pretty bad too.
And for the record - the RA 60 coupe I have has power steering and a solid rear axle and handles great. Just needs three times as much power!

Hi,
That's a cool site you have there Vermin. That Celica with the quad throttle body equipped 3SGE Beams engine is quite impressive!
TA 22's are the go for looks, with Celica's getting "uglier" as the years went on.... The new ones aren't to bad though, just without that stupid "wing" on the bonnet.
