Sorted

I wouldnt suggest leaning it any less than what the manufacturer states.....although it may look awkward thats how it is

Hmmm.... if u want it upright just make sure its ok b4 u do so

having it on an angle would lower centre of gravity slightly too ....which is a good thing

i have the st185 version.
i noticed the oil drain holes are only on the left side of the head(when looking at the engine front on) so i only assumed that a slight lean was in order.
the 20mm that CelicaRA45 is talking about is about 6 degrees so i might run with that

hey what kind of costs would be involved in putting a 3s-gte into a sprinter?
and how much would it cost just to buy the engine?

I'm with 3SGTE-TA22. I've done the same conversion and just sat the engine upright. There are NO oil drainage problems but you do need to enlarge the sump capacity. Seeing you have to mod the sump anyway it's no problem.

If you do run a lean what are you going to do for a bellhousing???? Leaning the engine leans the gearbox, makes using the shifter a bit tricky Smile
