Hey Mate,

I'm interested! You have sent me the pics of the mags before, do you have any pics of the mags while they are on a sprinter? I want to see what they look like and also how wide they will be on my sprinter.

Cheers..

Ok - well i heres a pic, a 215 will fit under the guards with those rims as far as i know ... Any wider and youd need to schance wheel offsets for the rims or flare your guards

personally i dont see the need for wider than 215 on a celica or sprinter like this - it would put too much strain on the drivetrain components having fat ones under there

They look sweet on a sprinter too -

Well, actually, the GTS RA6x celicas in the US - same drivetrain as our RA6s - came stock with the 14x7s. And 225 tyres, I believe. Sure, they have flares, so you wouldn't get them on a lowered non-flared celica (i have been told that 215s may rub), but my point is - I reckon the driveline can take it!

I agree no point doing it though, unless you want to sacrifice cornering from having baloon tyres and looking like a bogan Wink

as a post note - i test fitted 205's and 195's on my round lip ta22

thats the early NON flared model

the 195's fitted well inside the guard with plenty of clearance - 205's fitted two with little hint of scrubbing on the front ..

I also tried a 225 off my dads ma61 and it fitted on the rears but not on the front's

remener this is the SLIM round lipped non flared early celica

later ta22's and RA's had an extra 5-10mm of guard lip clearance than the 71 ta22

repost

a 215 will fit with good clearance under the later model ta22's and ra23/28/ ra 40's

nods to the ra65's - they have tonees of room

re sprinter - a 215 is about as thck as youll get without rolling your guard lips

ive tried a 225 , 215 and 195 on the early rolled lip ta22's

the 195 fitted perfectly - 215 fitted well with only a slight fold in of guard lip needed on mine , 225 fitted on the rear with clearance to spare - didnt fit the front

remeber this isnt the square lipped ta22 or later - this si the slimline rolled lip early ta22 ..

the later had more guard clearance

Mr grumps - the price is $475 firm - no less ..

they have already been dropped from $650 dollars ..

$350 wouldnt hardly cover the cost of restoring them to the condition they are in Ill take them to melbourne for you - but im not going to drop the price in the near future.

to aquire a VGC set + all VGC centres + nuts - then have them stripped - polished , and then repainted would set you back More than what im asking for the results i have ..

The price is reasonable considering the work put into them IMHO

the sprinter pic isnt of my wheels - its of an example of those mags on the car .. the mags all look like this
