I have just purchased an 18RG or 18RGU engine. The front plate is rusty and I do not know which motor it is. Is there any way of telling if it is an 18RG or 18RGU. Can someone tell me how I tell the difference?

If you can find the serial number stamped on the side of the cylinder head, that should be enough to identify which version of the 18R-G you have.
