I want to put a 1JZ into the VH. would like more power though so I thought I would mess around on Desktop dynos first. If any of you know the engine specs can they tell me. Also would like to know what power these engines can handle without internal mods before they go bang! Once you override the fuel cut and the speed limit is it possible to fit larger turbos without having to go to after market computers$$? I am thinking front cut manual, exhaust and inlet mods, HUGE cooler as well as fuel cut defender and NOS. Can factory computer handle this? Can it be tuned (like commodore DELCO)? Heaps of questions, I know!

There is some info about the 1JZ in High Performance Imports (Supra/Soarer) Special this month.
The computer isn't very cooperative to large mods. You will have to get a new one, as it isn't possible to reprogram the stock computer.
The engine is good for ~500hp on standard internals, so it's a strong engine.
Factory figures: 208kW, 363Nm.

Thanks! 500hp should be OK. I will check out HPI as well. If anyone has the specs though would be appreciated!
