MR2 Power Up Sun, 22 June 2003 04:30 Go to next message
I'm back,i've just bought the mr2 that was on these forums and will pick it up on monday. It's non turbo, but i want to have some decent power. Is it really difficult to turbo the n/a engine. All i want is a low boost set-up 8-10psi max.I've got no problem paying someone to do it or even if someone here can advise me of what's involved.

Can i just get the turbo manifold off the turbo mr2 and the turbo, then get a programmable engine management system??I'd get an exhaust of course and i've already got an intercooler.

ANY HELP OR ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Cheers Adrian

it would problably cost you more to turbo the original engine than it would be to swap the engine for a 3S-GTE - from a MR2 half-cut

if its the 4A-GE you's want to get a 4A-GZE half cut, take the supercharger off and put a turbo on

have you tried searching on the forums yet??!? there's bound to be threads on this topic
