RWD 14" and 15" alloy sets for Sale - BOTH SOLD! Sun, 22 June 2003 10:28 Go to next message
So here's the current situation - My sprinter can only have one set of wheels on at a time so the others have to go as they'd benefit someone else. Each set includes used tyres but they're a freebie only (in other words, don't expect much from them).

Both sets were fitted to my AE86 Sprinter but there's no reason why they have to be limited to Sprinters only - should generally fit anything that's RWD like a TA22, S13 Silvia etc given their 4 x 114 PCD pattern.

Am in Brisbane but can organise delivery interstate at buyer's expense. If you're local, you're more than free to drop by and see if they fit on your car if you're serious.

Set A: 15" Speedy Mystique 2 alloys
Just over 1 year old with no scratches nor marks. Pictures show a bit of brake dust but they are immaculate once cleaned. Paid $250 a rim as they were custom made for an AE86 Sprinter (hence have perfect offset). Includes centre caps as well.

Asking $700 ONO for these ones.

Set B: 14" Black Racing Watanabe look-alike alloys
These red ones do stand out and I'm sad to see them go after a brief affair. Couple of scratches on them but these are only chips which can be easily covered up if you're gonna repaint them (won't matter as most will find the red a bit too garnish anyway) - none of the alloys are bent and all are in great condition. Custom hub rings suiting the AE86 Sprinter are also included. Alloys sit a bit inwards on an AE86 by 1cm (hardly noticeable) but there is no scrubbing at all.

Don't mind keeping them hence the $600 FIRM price asked for these beauties - you have got to see them in person to see how red they are - it looks like 2 pac gloss paint.

FWIW, here is another example of 15" BR alloys on a Celica painted black:

These alloys are pretty rare and I doubt if you'd find them easily.

Cheers all!

Cool Sprintin ... I'll be in mostly on Saturday so anytime is fine. These wheels are a good deal as they are practically new - no scratches whatsoever and no need for hub rings nor balancing as they're custom made for an AE86. Just drop off an email to fix a time.

The 15" are 6.5 inches wide. The 14" are 6 inches wide.

Cheers!

I am a little bit interested in getting the 14 x 6" Black Racing wheels. I am in Hobart. Can you find out the shipping price for me?

I'll look into it and get back to you soon ... hopefully not more than $50 (usually within the main land) but I've never shipped to Tassie before. Sit tight ... Smile

Okay, looks like 4AG-AE86 has first dibs on the reds and Sprintin on the Speedy's. Both of you have PM's btw ...

Johnny2TG, cost of postage to Tassie will be a minimum of $70 and I'm willing to foot any extra however it will now have to wait and see if 4AG-AE86 takes them first.

BTW, for those who've sent PM's, I think I replied to most of them but let me know if I haven't.

Cheers all.

Just outa curiosity, what is the correct offset for a Sprinter? And a TA-22, for that matter?

cheers,

Justin

Both Silver and Red beauties have been sold ...
Sad

Good luck to the new owners.

Celia-Sue, technically there is no one offset that applies to either AE86 or TA22 (or any car for that matter). It really depends on how wide the rims you plan on using as that would change the offset required. A stock 14" factory rim off an AE86 which is 6 inches wide has about +14 or so offset. If you want to run 7" wide rims, I'm told a zero offset is better.

Generally, if you go after a RWD alloy set, 9 out of 10 times it'd probably fit your car.
