4AGE mod options? N/A or Turbo? Sun, 22 June 2003 11:48 Go to next message
hey ya'll l'm ready to modify my 100kw 4AGE now got the $$$ and its time to get this baby really movin now, it has the standard ecu from the AE92 and all that, have cold air feed with pod and custom 2" header 4-2-1 into a straight pipe with straight through muffler no resonators or cat, it goes pretty good now but l want more! options!

- N/A - buy cam's, cam gears, and new ecu

- Turbo - get a T25 and small intercooler and get a custom manifold made up run about 5-6psi on the standard 4AGE, low boost should be alright yeah?

l reckon the N/A option would only cost $1500-$2000 but what sort of gains would l get?

The Turbo option l see as being more problems but probably initially better bang for buck, gimme your thought people! thanks! Smile

turbo if your after a greater increase in power
but id be starting with a 4AGZE if your going to turno it

but 4age's run better in an NA setup
different compression and stuff i think Smile

so my vote is NA. less hassle

yeah l was thinkin NA 100% then l thought if l spend $1500-$2000 and only get small gains l'll be pissed and think it was a waste of $$$ atleast with turbo it'll fly, if l do go turbo l will swap over to a GZE base l think wont cost jack shiet to do so l can put it in myself and get the engine for nothing with change over Smile
