Fuel Consumption of a 5ME/5MGE? Sun, 22 June 2003 13:44 Go to next message
Heya guys,

I'm thinking about buying a MA61 and of course these little beaties have 5ME engines in them, now they are 6 Cyl & I was wondering how many Km's/L people are getting out of these engines in city driving and/or freeways(hopefully fuel efficient enough not to send me broke Very Happy) ? Thanks guys.

Can't comment on the 5me/5mge but the 6mge tends to use a bit in the city, however on the freeways i am remarkably surprised with the drastically reduced consumption, but thats 5th gear for you.

I agree like Ed_MA61, my MA61 roughly gets 300kms around the city and 300-450Kms on the open roads with a full tank of petrol.

Hope it helps.

Cheers.

I'd be lucky to get 270km outa my "60l" tank.
Inverted commas cuz I can never get more than 55l in - even with bone-dry empty talk. Where did that 5 litres go?

MA-61= great car!
5-ME = battleship anchor petrol dump
