Hi everyone,
I have a good friend in Japan who is a street racer as some of us are and he can help us with parts for AE86 anything you want even a whole car.
If theres anything you want like whole rear diff end with LSD and rear disks attached and
mag wheels,
seats + rails,
quad throttles anything
just let me know it can be sourced and shipped to anywhere in Aust .
If you want brand new parts for Integras, AE86's, S13,S14,S15 etc you name it it can be sourced and delivered. My friend has close contacts directly with all the major brand offices in Japan like CUSCO, BRIDE, BUDDYCLUB etc. you name it.
if you have friends also interested please consider about bulk ordering to save $$ on shipping cost (which from Japan costs $$$ I know as I used to live there for 2 years).

how about an even better idea, have your buddy in japan get a list of ae86 stuff he can see/find on the shelves of the shops in his area and you post them up here..?

what commerical freight arrangment do you have in place
are we paying you in A$ or your mate in YEN
where will the goods end up

I'm not a store worker and can't just list what's in the stores as they can
and do go very quickly. Japanese enthusiasts tend to snap up parts real
quick as I found out when I was living there. I had a bitch of a time just
to get my used TRD spoiler because I didn't want to pay over 18,000 yen for
a new one.

My friend works for a store in Japan and can source used parts
I have asked my friend for his on how much shipping cost is. He said that
the exact cost from Yokohama to Sydney (where I am located, if you are
elsewhere postage could vary but hopefully not much) including Insurance and
Exportation fee is 45,737 yen.
There is a 1.155 square metre box which all parts can be jammed packed into.
obvisouly there possibly can be some other arrangments if you order less but
that should give you an idea.
Just remember though customs can F%*& you up if they realise that the value
inside is over $100 they can be a real pain and charge GTS and other taxes
on top. There is a way out of it but keep in mind I'm NOT doing this for
business. I am located in Sydney and I'm gonna order some parts from my
friend (which I haven't done yet) as I wanna order in bulk to save on
postage. Funds can be deposited into my CBA account in AUD and I will
process the transferes to YEN depending on the exchange rate at the time.
best thing to do is if you have any questions to call me as I don't view
this site that often sometimes I'm too busy from work.

one of my businesses is a regular importer from USA and UK, but not japan. I can arrage commercial freight but small loads are not worthwhile. Shipments much less than 1-2 cubic metres or 200kg are hopeless, and thats an awful lot of parts. Postage is really only good for a few kg and nothing longer than 900mm. If someone will agree to co-ordinate the orders, I'll handle the collection,import, customs etc. Beware howeever, all imports attract duty and GST, with a combined rate of about 20% of the landed value not uncommon (meaning 20% on the cost + freight etc). Anything marked "used" will attract extra quarantine inspection fees and cleaning if appropriate.

Dood, i was really considering the 20v route but after looking at the garage annex stuff, i decided to go the 16v way. Using garage annex parts to reroute the coolant, relocate the dissy, extend the loom and a set of trumpets for the quads comes to AUD $4200 (with todays forex. ~ball park).
Factor in freight, tax etc and youre looking down the barrel at something really rude. (say $4500)
AUD $4500 spells motec M4 in my book. And external coil packs.
I keep telling myself that i shouldnt go the 20v, but i'm still drawn to the idea for some reason.
Good luck with the garage annex stuff if you do decide to go ahead. - pls send some pics and i might just do an identical order.

The "whole" kit comes in at an only slightly expensive AUD$ 6250.00 ex Japan (without freight or duty).
But i still really like a 20v.
I asked a friend who does importing about the "kit" and we stopped after the numbers began to look bad. - didnt take long.
Better get to bed before i order something.
