Cleaning rusted water jackets

Now i 'hear' that rusted water jackets are a big issue in the 7mgte block.
How does one go about cleaning these out with having to dissasemble the bottom end?
As terrbile and stupid and crazy as it sounds, would it be possible to run rust converter/remover through the coolant system. Or would this majorly destroy something?
I don't wish to rebuild the bottom end just to attend to rusted coolant channels. (assuming there are some)
ta guys.

good luck
it really takes a screwdriver and a wire bottle brush to get the scale out (theyre big and chunky mineral deposits - and a bit of rust too, but nothing at all like a mild surface rust).
theres no way to scrape the flakes and big chunks (of which there will be many) out of the block wthout taking off the head, timing cover, and knocking out the welch plugs...

i made a device which you plug the hose into and plug compressed it into with an air tap - so you can blast air/water in and clean things out.
you get pretty wet, but, it works well.

I new that would be the case, but what im saying is, can it be done without touching the bottom end, ie leaving pistons, crank etc in the block?
Grega- so its almost a 'karcher' type device (high pressure water cleaner) is it?
And will it matter if the cylinder walls got wet in this process above the pistons, or is it a matterof leaving the bottom end out int he sun for a bit after that?
ta guys.

oh yeah, you can leave the pistons in etc. just pack the bores full of newspaper and tape the top over.

realistically tho, if youve got the block out and are playing with it, youd be best to do 'other' stuff to the block too - like deck it. this will require the crank being out of the block anyway...

engine will be pulled from a halfcut
but to deck the block one must remove the pistons yes?

Now new rings is not what i want
realistically i wanted a straight swap over with a change of headgasket and some tighter ARP studs or bolts maybe.
P.S ED 'polished'

nah blacksupra, it uses compressed air from my air compressor, so, a little different (well VERY different in design) but similar principle.
