I never said the engine needed to be rebuilt. Whether it does or it doesn't i didn't say anything about that. I said the webbers have been rebuilt and ported. Not the engine.
So i dont like your chances of getting the webbers now TA2272.

As for the guys that want individual parts off the engine, u have two options:
#1. Between all of u, if u can manage to take the whole engine in bits i would be satisfied but u gotta realise that removing bits and pieces off the engine will reduce my chances of selling the actual engine that i want to get rid of.
#2. I dont mind selling the parts if at the end of the day i get more money overall (time, labour, fucking around etc.) But u are going to have to wait a little bcoz i wanna see if there is any interest in the whole engine first.
Is that fair dudes?

The guys that want prices etc for shipping, sorry dudes but that aint my job. If u wanna know how much for freight and stuff then do your own homework. I will only freight if all i have to do is drop the part off to the company.
Yes i might be a lazy dude, but i'm a busy lazy dude

just a note to 79 rollaboy
what are you converting it into - the corolla - in that case id say No
The motor i guess si the same one out of the ta22 ( red one ) on bad22's page ( am i right )
In that case to bolt it to the corolla - youd have to fabricate custom mounts or do some creative welding .. Plus the headers would need modifying to Suit your exhaust system + youd need to adapt a t50 5 speed into your car .. Not impossible - But fiddly ( ps 2tg in corollas are good fun )
For anyone with ta22's thugh - its a Good buy fellas - the webers alone give the motor my big tick of approval ..
for a ta22 - its a bolt in plug and play job with bugger all fuss - main things youd need are a radiator hose to suit the 2tg's water pump - as its a little different than standard 2t i believe , the throttle cable - and 3 friends to help you with spanner work ! A 2t-B conversion ( same block but different head ) took m and a few mates an afternoon to get the other motor out - the new one in - and running
Hope you can sell it Bad22 - be nice to see another 2tg in its rightful place - under a ta22's bonnet scaring the crap out of riceboys in lancers + excels
PS hows the SR20 conversion going?

Are you serious ??????

Bad 22 are you for real ??????
t_temperley,
The "11111-_______" heads were not 16V but were the very first pre production 2TG heads as used by TOSCO or Toyota Sports Corner (Who later changed there name to TRD ! )
If this is indeed one of these engines I would appreciate it if its new owner got in touch with me.
Rare.... Try rocking horse shit and your not even close !
Thats assuming it hasn't been rebuilt/fucked with since it left TOSCO if it has its still cool just not as historical or valuble.
If it is still as Race preped specs should be something like this:
The eight valve engine is built to rev, with the oversquare dimensions of 85mm bore and 70mm stroke, for a displacement of 1589cc. The block was modified with the installation of oil squirters to cool the pistons. The bottom end is built on a TRD forged steel rods that were balanced, polished and lightened. TRD forged pistons with moly rings give 10.5:1 compression. TRD remachined the head for big valves, 45mm intake and 38.5mm exhaust. The head was ported and polished, and a full TRD drivetrain was installed-double valve springs, keepers and lifters. The intake camshaft has 11mm of lift and 288-degress duration, the exhaust 10.7mm and 304 degrees. Because this engine was intended for high rpm competition use, a TRD dry sump oil system was installed, which minimizes power loss due to windage and ensures that there is always oil supply, even in long hard sweepers. Induction is by dual Solex sidedraft carburetors, one large diameter venturi for each cylinder. They are the ancestors of today’s Mikuni carbs. Ignition is provided by a TRD capacitive-discharge system , and the exhaust is simple: a TRD header and a straight pipe.
And that has gotta make you Horny... Very Very Horny !

rod, i have been in a TA23 which had one of these 2TGs with webers, f*** did it go hard!! It had no head number, like bad22 said, and had "GEN X" or something similar written on the inspection plate. one of the quickest 2TGs i've seen! unfortunately it blew a HG and pissed out coolant, but i'm going to try and get in touch with the owner to see how difficult it would be to get my hands on it. If i did, i would have to take the head off and take some snapshots of the head and pistons, just to see if what you said was right .

Inferno,
The 2TGEU with the GEN X label was most likey the 88262 headed 2TG that had been shown some love.
These are the low compression high emission 2TG with the offset chambers. these are not beleived to be all that suited to N/A performace applications.
The race engines were marked as "11111- _______" NOT totally blank.
Bad22
I would love to know whats been done to that head mate ! Could be worth a look at valve sizes to see whats been done.
