Well i've just found my new TA22 has buggered wipers, or should i say wiper motor, using two wipers it can barely get up and down, and i mean barely, got stuck once, using one wiper it is just usable but get's stuck on the upstroke. so is there a bolt-in replace ment motor? with maybe some more available speeds? what can i do so i can see in the rain,
cheers,
Alex

I have heard that you can cut a potatoe in half and rub it all over you windscreen and the water will bead and run straight off.
But seriously just get another wiper motor from the wreckers or get the aut elec to reco yours. Wiper motors are only $25 and one in good condition work fine.

MA70 or GA70 motor will do the job! They are much smaller than the stock item awell
Of course wiring is involved.

Yup, a later model motor works much better (more powerful) and will bolt on. As mentioned you must rewire it, but that's pretty easy to do.

I'm looking at upgrading mine because of the lack of speed. How do you go about replacing it with one that has more than 2 speeds. Do you have to change the whole stork over and everything inside the steering column?

You dont have to change anything if you just want the 2 speeds. But the later model motor will be much faster.

Off hand I cant tell you how to do it. I have only done this once and I didnt write anything down.
If you find me a MA/GA70 wiper motor for a good price, I'll do it again and write down all the information and let you know.
