Some of you guys mentioned that you are running up to 14psi on your 7m's. I would assume that is running off the standard injectors and AFM, like myself. Do you guys have any leaning out probs at 14psi when using your FCD's and what type of FCD's are you running-HKS type K? If you did have leaning out probs how did you richen it up? Also who is using stock computer and running 14psi?
The reason I ask is that I want too see if it is perfectly safe to set my 7m to 14psi permanently using stock computer and FCD.
I'm using the standard 7mgte computer in my 84 Supra with the 7MGTEU. And have had it running on 14psi.
Or are you talking about the stock 5-ME computer with 7MGTE??? If not... I've hit fuel cut at just over 14psi on not the last dyno Day but the previous. On the road it seems fine . Although I've since recently turned it down to about 10psi due to the clutch slipping.
On another dyno it was on 10psi and the AFR was at 12.1 @ 4900rpm.
Going by my a/f ratios there shouldn't be any leaning out probs at 14 psi. I'm running 11psi and get ratios in the high 11's.
Stock mk2 fuel pump is good for around 300hp at the wheels, from what I've heard. I've put down 225 at the wheels, so there's plenty of fuel left in it. The standard afm/440's combo should good for around this figure also.
