Before engineer's certificate

I'm getting my engineer to gimme a certificate tomorrow morning.
Is there anything last minute I should be doing?
I got my car detailed last weekend (birthday present ) so it looks good, and most grease/oil is gone.
Last night I mounted my computer under the dash (instead of inside glove box)
I'll make sure the car is warm before he gets there (home delivered engineer's certificate!) so it doesn't idle rough.
Does my wiring need to be better?? (hasn't changed since dubbo)
I've got a weight certificate ready, and I've also done an emissions test (I don't know what to make of the numbers though).
Engineer is Phill Scott, who did my brothers 3T KE20.

There's plenty of things Pete.
Non standard ECU would be the first, just don't let him see it.
What were the CO mixtures in the emissions test?
Its basically a rego check too, battery bracket?

Engine mounts
Gearbox standard or not
Exhaust system
Exhaust volume at a defined rpm level may be checked
If the car is emissions complient
what u want is a low CO and HC levels
Whether or not anything structural has been hacked.
Brakes
They want to be asured that the car with extra power can handle the stopping as well.

ya should be fine petey!
It's not like the car has much more power than the old 7M, so things like brakes etc shouldn't be an issue (no turbos!).
As for the wiring - make sure there are no bare connections, i remember seeing one or two... so wrap those up with leccy tape, and cover the birds nest ffs! it's dirty!
Should be all good dude!

Thanks guys. I've tried to do everything properly with regards to engine mounts etc.
Gearbox as I've told him has been changed from auto to manual, but was done in Japan before coming here, and is using a gearbox that came out standard in the car. He said that was fine.
Emissions test, I've no idea what these mean, but I know the CO level is bullshit low.
THC 1.95
NOx 2.81
CO 8.8 (didn't register on the scale)
CO2 290.4
Brakes havn't been changed. And weight is now lighter!
Will wait and see.
Karl, I'll see what I can do with the birdsnest.

I havn't got the report as yet, as it takes a while to do research on what it all should be (like tyre track, engine emissions etc.) but I'm pretty sure I've passed.
The engineer was excellent. He was the nicest automotive guy I've met to date. He told me exactly what was needed, told me the reasons why, and could see that I had done it. He also does a lot of dealings with court issues and insurance stuff, so he makes sure he checks everything because if something like my engine falls out tomorrow he can be liable. So now I feel safe driving my car (and will do drags next toyonats!)
Things that were standard, he didn't have to check, like my radiator, Power steering.
Brakes he checked and they were fine.
Noise test has to be under 90 dB. My car was 89.7dB!! phew. Apparently V8s come up more on the noise test because they're a lower tone and vibrate things more.
Emissions passed as well. (Paul, I'll tell you more about this at dyno day)
Engineer was Phil Scott 66477558, 0412339242. He actually came to me, and did the looking at my place.

Price was $495. BUT price will vary with how many things have changed, and how much they've changed. He does do quotes over the phone though, so go and ask him.
Also he also said my wheels needed to be put on the engineer certificate because they were an inch taller than standard, and the car didn't come out with that size as an option. Please don't debate this here. That is simply what the engineer said.
Ooh, and my pod filter and intake got passed as the extra noise it made didn't go over the limit, and it had passed the emissions test.

hkspete that sounds really good. pod filter and all.
make sure you keep a copy of the cert (laminate it) in the glovebox at all times in case the police stop you.
