Most places don't have listings for this engine. But I went to a place called autobarn up here in Brisbane and they had a book that listed 4 different types of plugs for the different 18rg's. I'm using BPR5EY-11 but they do list for performance you use a lower heat rating the should be "6".

NGK B6ES!!!
they are top stuff for that motor. make sure its the non-protrusive tip, it helps to stop detonation.

Thanks for your replies
the haynes manual lists bpr6ez or w20exr for 18rg. the bpr6ez wasn't listed at autobarn and Apparently the 'z' is for special?????... so i got the v design at the same heat, bpr6ey (which was the cross reference for the denso w20exr anyway)
cheers

The toyota celica owners manual suggests:
Nippondenso W20EXR
NGK BPR5EZ (I couldn't find these at Sprint Auto Parts, not on the NGK listings they had)

For the leads, I've heard these recommended
NGK cables –RC-TE94
Top Gun – HD4446
Sprint Auto Parts can get them made up you, as they just did for us, with the use of your originals for samples.
This took just over a week.
They are Eagle ones and come with a two year, 40000km warranty.
On you could buy any leads with the following lengths.
1 @ 70cm
1 @ 80cm
1 @ 90cm
1 @ 100cm
this works with one 90degree end and one straight end.
