done a compression test? could be rings if happens under power. can a turbo leak oil into the airstream when it is under boost? i'd have thought that it would force the oil out... but not if oil pressure is greater than boost pressure...hmmmm

anyho, do a compression test and keep an eye out for smoke on startup and the like..

no smoke on startup, only on a cold day, turbo is deffinatly leaking into the intake because everytime i undo the intake manifold oil comes out..but, should that not burn blue? the smoke is white/grey thats coming out, a compression test was done when i first got it and they were all even, i dont know the figures tho, because nobody seems to have a gauge that can get to the recessed plugs on 3t-gt

well it's pretty hard t tell if it is white or grey or blue, there is really not that much difference, and different oil burns different colours anyway...
what about if you drive past someone when boosting, do they smell burnt oil or nothing? sometimes pedestrians can be useful (rather than just diving out of the way Evil or Very Mad )

where are you located? i have a gauge with both screw in and straight attachments that are about 6inches long.. is that enough? if you are in sydney, come to the dyno day or send me a PM, and we can do a test.
