Tyre smoking/mud slinging action in Coffs Wed, 25 June 2003 12:12 Go to next message
For those interested, just thought I'd share some photos/videos i got while at an event in Coffs last weekend.

First stage was on tarmac and held in the Big Banana carpark.. The Datto 1600s put on the best show, and this one in particular was sideways well before the corner and most of the way up the straight!!! Shocked

A decent downpour at about 3am ensured the forests were nice and muddy and provided for plenty more sideways action.

All pics/videos here: http://www.luc1d.net/rally

Enjoy!!

Cheers,
Paul.

What kind of camera are you using? Is it digital or are the pics scanned?

They are very flash.

My digital will take them as clear but all my car ones are VERY blury and I can't change my shutter speed Crying or Very Sad

v_c - It's a Canon G2 (digital). I had the image size/quality set fairly low so I could keep snapping shots fairly quickly. Pretty much everything else I left on auto this time.

Ben - That little kid was seriously giving me the shits at that speccie point. Just kept jumping around from side to side.. I really wanted to clobber him!

They were pretty expensive when they came out (a few years old now).

They've been superseded by the G3 and the G5 (both fairly expensive still).

If you can find a 2nd hand G2 at a decent price you're laughing. The only area they lack in is the zoom though. Sad
