Here's a list of my costs, it can be done cheaper if you cut corners, but then you may have problems in the future, and there is NO way I want fix something on my gze that was caused by cutting corners...
essentials:
front-cut $1850 (Price has gone up considerably lately, now $2200-$2400)
front-cut delivery $50
4-puck ceramic clutch and balanced flywheel $500
rear disc brakes $400
Custom Bush Set for rear brakes $75
waterpump $120 genuine
timing belt $50 genuine
EFI tank/lines $100 (that was very cheap)
KYB Shocks/Superlow King Springs $680
15" Enkei rims $400
Nankang Tyres $400
Coolant $26
Oil $30
Syntrax gearbox oil $100
Oil Filter $17 Genuine
Radiator Cap $13
Spark Plugs - NGK Platinum $104
Superstrut Calipers - $100 (mates rates)
Custom Discs and custom cut ferodo race pads to suit superstrut calipers - $667
AE111 20V primaries and secondaries $150
2.25" exhaust with new cat and 2 mufflers $400
Whiteline rear swaybar $195
CAI ducting $25
= $6452 total cost for essentials WITHOUT labour
Non-Essential
Windscreen $170
Windscreen trims $200
paint $200
Boost Guage $127
Air/Fuel Guage $140
bog $25
Front Speakers $78
Rear Speakers $110
Head Unit $260
Loom adatptor $12
MDF $15
Vinyl $40 (estimate)
Contact Glue $20
Electrical tape $6

Jigsaw $40
Jigsaw blades $10
Sandpaper $40
new taillights $150
Levin Front Seats $350 (shipped from Syd)
Seca SX Power windows and Door trims $400
= $2421
Now you also have to add in the cost for engineering aswell, and that varies depending on the engineer you go to... I also had to get a roadworthy and rego on mine so that added about another $5-800 to the costs shown here...
If I just wanted to get engine in the car and running and not worry about anything else, it would have cost:
AE92 MAP GZE frontcut - $2200 (current price, mine was $1850)
AE92 Levin GTZ rear disc setup with custom Bushes - $475
NGK platinum plugs - $104
2.25" Exhaust with new cat and mufflers $400
EFI Tank and lines $100

I would recommend changing the waterpump and timing belt as a bare minimum before putting the motor in the car, you dont want to have to do it later on so it's cheap insurance... Also pull the box from the motor and check the clutch aswell because a lot of gze cuts have dead clutches...
My little sedan is a bit of a sleeper, and it goes very well, I transplanted in all the levin dash and climate control aswell...
coverage of the conversion was in this thread: http://pub131.ezboard.com/ffwdtoyotafrm24.showMess age?topicID=41.topic
and I'm working on a tech site which also covers the conversion here: http://www.rollamods.com
...and yes, if you can get a frontcut cheap enough, the conversion can easily be done for less than $3K, but in Bris the GZE cut prices have gone up a lot recently, the average price for a MAP GZE cut is now $2300-2400, and $2200 at mates rates...
