Ok, it runs, next thing is the exhaust. I priced a 2 inch system and muffler and resonator for $230. Now, will that be ok, or do i have to run some other anti-polution shit or what? Im in victoria too which i think makes a difference. Thanks for your help with this and all my other questions before.
ps. when informing vicroads, do i just call them with the new engine number? do i need and engineers cert? do i bother calling them at all?

You will need a blue slip to verify the work that has been done is road worthy, this person can also fill out the change of engine number paper work for ya. Shouldnt cost you any more then $100.
As long as you have a cat for the exhaust all should be sweet.
You will also need some sort of reciept to say that you purchased the engine and that it isnt out of a stolen car.
Im in NSW and this is what i had to do, im not sure about vic thou.
Hope this helps.

hirogen, we don't have blue slips down here. so no need to worry about that.
you'll need a DB test of the exhaust to which i think it has to be under 89db at 1 metre? your engineer will tell you this.
you absolutely have to run a cat if you are running ULP/PULP. also you need a restricted filler neck too. if you're running the stock ECU you'll be fine, if you're aftermarket you're in trouble and need to provide EPA testing to meet certain requirements - again not sure of these - talk to your engineer.
they do brake tests as well to make sure the braking system is up to stopping the car.
re: emission shit ALL the emissions that came with that motor need to be hooked up and functional. basically if you've put a 4AGE in an ae86, tell em its out of an ae82, so, they've got something to baseline you on.
