u know i always thought that mags were pretty cheap esp if they are 15s?
I mean u can get 17s with tyres for around 1100 to 1400 why should 15s cost 1k?
I would think that would cost roughly around 700 brand new with tyres...anyways just a comment anyone know the prices of 15s?

the price of alloy wheels depends on who makes them. the deals you see in the riceboy magazines for 17's with "performance tyres" for $1200,are for nasty chinese knock-off (as in illegal copies of a proper brand) wheels, with (if you're lucky) silverstone rubber.
if you want good quality, and lightweight wheels, you can pay up to $850 PER WHEEL,without tyres, for 15".
decent rubber then STARTS at $220 a corner.
it's all relative. if you just want to look "sik",and don't care about safety standards,or how well the car handles, then go buy some cheapies from temple of chrome in tempe.
wheel size doesn't necessarily reflect what they're worth, unless you're 17,and don't know any better than what fast fours tells you. performance costs.
a grand for Australian-made alloys with a custom offset in 15x7", with tyres is a pretty good deal.
the alloys on my car cost me $500 second hand, and my tyres were $840. they're plus 2,and let me run 205/50/R15. totally legal, and they stick like nothing can short of a full slick.
bigger wheels are about getting a higher performance tyre under the car.
you don't degrade the performance of the car, just to look "sik". not if you have half a brain anyway.
Justin...
p.s. one thing I need explained to me:why do people think you've wasted your money if you didn't buy 18's for your car?
is it a size thing? I've got 18's,and you've only got 15's,so my dick's bigger than yours?
