If it is the original 200SX turbo it will be a T-25 (S13) or T-28 (S14-15).
It looks like a Nissan T3, from what I can see the wastegate actuator rod is going to the flap in the cast piece bolted to the turbine housing, a T-28 has it integral with the turbine housing.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

That turbo most definately is not from a 200SX, it would have to be from an older nissan, as it appears (hard to see exact size in photo) to have a T3 exhaust flange, and hose fittings for both the compressor inlet & outlet. With that configuration its most likely a very early RB20 import turbo, an aussie delivered RB30 VL commodore, or even an FJ20 unit.
A dead giveaway that its not a 200SX turbo is the "Nissan Motor" cast into the compressor housing, all 200SX turbos are straight from garrett.
have a look at the exhaust turbine, particularly the centre nut looking section. Is it hexagonally shaped, or triangular, and does it have a completely flat section, or a tapered recess right in the centre?
cheers
Phil

If its either a VL RB30 turbo or an FJ20 turbo, it will be pretty laggy on a 4AGTE. I had a CT26 (T3 equiv) on my 4AGTE originally, and decided it wasnt ideal for street use. Now I use a 200SX T28, which has very different response.
If you're going to use a second hand T3, you'd at least want it to be a ball bearing ceramic unit off an RB20 2 litre engine. These are a fairly good match.

Just for clarification on what TE72 said - a CT26 is monstrous compared to a T3. Believe me, I have two VL turbos and an MA71 in my driveway...

Don't judge a turbo by its physical size. In flow capability & response, the CT26 is very similar to a garrett T3, but they have VERY heavy castings. Remember that the CT26 sized compressor housings & core are used in varying configurations on the 3SGTE, 7MGTE, IJZGTE (post 1995) and deisel commercials.

when you get the chance to go to your parents, write down all the info you can (markings on compressor & exhaust housings, bolt spacing for oil drain, and the exhaust turbine stuff i mentioned in an earlier post) & post them back up here. Maybe that will make it more definate to decide what motor your turbo came from. & measure the diameter of the compressor wheel if you can also.

I have a pair of CT12's from my 1G-GTE, im fitting it all into a MZ11 Soarer at the moment, but i might be looking to upgrade to a single turbo later on, have you thought about 2 ct12's on your motor? They are in pretty good nick.

I'm not entirely sure why but for some reason (possibly computer related) twin turboing a 4cyl does not work with out a whole lot of work.
I read about someone TTing a sr20 once and he ended up scrapping it and going for a big single after blowing a lot of money.

It doesn't work well because you end up with uneven exhaust pulses going to each turbo, unless you use a very well-designed manifold (which most don't).
