1J power steering gone

OK, while the ol' license is hung up for a short while, I need to fix everything.
My power steering pump has started whining when turning at low revs, and has gone from working TOO WELL to NOT AT ALL.
I hear this is quite common, however I do not know if it is pump related or valve related.
Also, where can I get a cheap 3.0 - 3.5" cat, even if it is totally rooted inside? I have a 2.75" item in my all 3" system, looks really restictive.
My own twin pipe mod is coming soon...

variflow make there cats up to size, up too 3.5 inch i think maybe even bigger.

I'd be interested in how you go with the power steering problem. Since making a spirited U turn at full lock about 6 months ago, I've had the the same whining symptoms on my Soarer at idle and inconsistent assitance at varying speeds.

If pumps are a problem, i have 2 of them from JZA70's kicking around.
