No Email Notifications Anymore??

Hi guys,
It seems that since the server upgrade took place, I no longer get email motifications.  I've checked in my profile, everything's sweet there, same as before when I WAS getting notifications - does anyone know what's going on?
Is this happening to anyone else?

Hmmm, interesting... I've been posting in the Cruises and Events forum, and I've been getting no notifications at all. But now I've posted this, I'm getting notifications again. I think what it might be is that I'm not getting notifications from threads created and modified prior to the server upgrade.
No one else noticed this?

hmmm I was thinking I had the same problem too. Sometimes I seem to get them, and sometimes I don't. I checked my junk mail settings, as my computer seems to have a mind of its own in that regard.
See if that helps. I still can't figure out if I get them all or not. Sometimes someone will post replies, and I won't be notified,but most of the time it seems to work fine.

for anyone who has similar problems delete the cookie cache as it seemed to fix my problem.

it appears to me that you only get a email verification for the reply after yours, before you got a notification for every post that was in written in that thread

hey Nark, read the link. I am not sure if even that explains the situation, as it seems completely random whether I get the email or not. The suggested formula doesn't apply as sometimes I never get a notification, or sometimes I will get several.
I have deleted my cookies and all that, but I think it is a server/forum thing.
Just a bit of feedback on an AWESOME service. Love all your work.

the notifications used to work perfectly... you would get an email for every reply in a thread...
so yer, perhaps it is a server/forum thing...

It might just be me, but it seems that:
I get a notification for the first reply to a thread after I have posted in it. I will not receive any notification of further replies until I have VISITED that thread while logged in.
Please don't change it... I like it this way!!!

I find it rather frustrating. 'cause if someone posts, and I want to ever receive another notification I have to load my browser, and go find the tread to recieve subsequent notifications.
not really the way these things are supposed to work I feel..

You should just be able to click on the name of the thread in the email.... That should automatically load up your browser and go to that thread...
Depending on which email program you're using of course...

nah not me. I use "Mail" on Mac OS X and you can't. anyway I didn't get an email notification for your reply just above mine even though I had visited this thread as suggested.

Hmm... Weird.
BTW, I'd use another mail program.
Why not use Mozilla? That way you get a good browser and mail client in one!
