Wow! That is shiny. Basically what I was told is that you can remove it, but you have to make sure it is replaced with the correct torque settings and in the correct order....so I haven't done it
By the way, that was for a 1GGTE, but the principle would be the same.
It's ALOT harder than a 2JZ but not as hard as a 7M.
Basicaly the bolts that bolt it to the lower runners are hard to see with the engine in the car. Once you have disconnected all the vac lines it's fairly straight forward. I took off the throttle body first as well.
Once you have done that everything going ok you should have something that looks like this
