Just an add I found in the trading post says supercharged turbo  Not sure what the going price of these is but it looks Ok. There is a photo in the trading post.

depends
i used to own the EXACT same thing.
if its over the 15yr rule, then, engineering would be a little bit of work and you'd be on the road.
if its not, then, its been imported as a race/wreck vehicle and CANNOT be complied. mine couldn't. well, it could have been registered illegally if you know what i mean - but NOT worth the risk.
if it is in as part of the 15 year rule - i would 3 billion percent recommend this car. it was AWESOME!

Hey,
i've seen this car. It's an 88' model, supercharged, pretty much all stock, it's over the 15 year rule, so needs some compliancing apparently. I'm not an expert on these cars, everything looked very stock to me, it's in tokyo car sales in breybrook, but i checked it out in the importers while being quarantined. IT's done 99000 kms if i remember correctly, looks in ok nick. Anyways, not advising people to buy this car, just letting you know what i say in case it helps.

how can they legit sell it with reg and rwc if it requires an engineers! why would it even need engineers if its a factory setup, presuming it is just supercharged cos car yards always stuff up descriptions.

AFAIK (which isn't much), all imports under the 15yo rule have to have an engineer write and sign a report. I guess he just checks (and changes?) seatbelts, side intrusion bars, etc.

too bad it has the crappy AFM motor and E51 gearbox, usually for the engineers certification it requires cluster dimmer switch fitted if it doesn't already have one, and things like a child restraint mount for the rear and a few other little niggly things. For $7K I'd want the yard to do all the work and have it fully registered on the road ready to go considering the prices these sell for in japan and keeping the import costs in mind.

i had identical (well it was all black) and mine didn't have the AFM motor - had the map type.
agree though there is no way i'd be paying $7k for that uncomplied/not engineered.
