HKS 7MGTE single turbo manifold Tue, 01 July 2003 03:18 Go to next message
Hiya,
I've got one of these in virtually brand new condition FS. It takes a TO4E flanged turbo and has the external wastegate flange as well. It's cast but in the style of a tubular manifold so best of both worlds really. Top gear for a wild 7MGTE. Looking for $600 firm

Do you have measurements of the flange on the exhaust outlets and bolt holes, just checking if I could adapt it to a 1g

Sorry Dan but "firm" doesn't leave much room for negotiation Smile. These things used to go for $1200plus new and you can't even order them any more. It's basically brand new, certainly never seen any serious heat and barely even got any carbon deposit inside. I'll cover postage but that's as much as i can do.

I have a few questions. Where did you manage to find this thing? Did you get it off eBay by any chance? IT does have HKS cast on it right??? Is it the one for the Soarer of the one for the MA70 I have heard there are 2 different versions? Let me know I am still sort of interested but I know these things are very prone to cracking, do you know anything about its history?

I picked it up locally. Yup it has HKS cast into it. It was part of a HKS kit with HKS TO4 and HKS external wastegate. My understanding is it's a kit for a Supra but a bit hard to confirm that these days. Can't see why this would crack any more than a stock manifold. It would definitely be less susceptible to cracking than a tubular manifold. As for history this thing is as new. It still has the original coating on it so it clearly hasn't seen any high heat. It also has bugger all carbon deposit so again i doubt it's been on a car for more than 100kms. Everything i got with the kit looks as new. The turbo is now on my RWD 3SGTE and the wastegate was sold separately. This is the real deal.
