Sam,
Sure do. Door trims are different.

The later model RA23/28 doors had intrusion bars in them. They are a bit stronger and heavier, but bolt up just the same.

hey while on the topic, i know ra2x doors will fit a ta22, but will ta22 and ra23 doors fit an RA28? i guess they would, but is the window glass unique to the RA28?
Im not considering door swaps anytime soon, but has anyone put the lighter ta22 doors on there 23/28?
Im all for safety, so i wouldnt do this, but is it something that is done for weight reduction? are the RA doors much heavier?

Well if you give me a few months, I will be able to confirm this cos I have 2 mint Ta22 doors to go onto my 28. Just got to get around to painting them.
I will probably swap the glass anyway, because mine is tinted and the new ones arn't
The intrusion bars arn't that thick, I wouldn't have thought the weight difference would be significant compared to the door weight.

By the way BlackRA28, are they bluebird TRX wheels on your car, they don't look too shabby at all.

yes, the glass is different, if you look at the roofline of a 23 and compare it to your car, you will notice 23's have a flatter roof

okies next question
are the lines on the ra23 doors the same as what the ta22's are?
you know the line that is sorta halfway in the door that follows the length of the car?

Gold28: actually they are Thanks. I was able to pick up a set for quite cheap a little while ago, and had always fancied putting them on a car one day.. And they have the same stud pattern, just have to use 6mm spacers on the front because of the increased + offset, but i run them all round so the rims sit even. With each rim i want to powdercoat all the spokes white or fresh silver, with the outside ring near the tyre in polished chrome,
Your ra28 is quite the nicest, its probably one of the best looking celicas ive seen, bar none. full respect
love the paint colour and rims, looks like a fireball ferrari/mustang

Thanks black28, shame I can't take much credit for it, most of the work was done before I bought the car. The wheels in the Avatar arn't mine either but they did look awesome. I now have polished 16x7.5in. Borbets on it and they look pretty cool. I sould update my pic sometime.
If I was you, I would do the TRX mags like the old hotwire wheels, where inside the spokes is matt black and the rim and face of the spokes is mirror polished alloy. That would look awesome, and wouldn't be too hard to do if you had access to a die grinder and the right polishing equipment.
