engine mounts are the same dude.
water i think is on the same side - won't be much of an issue.
accelerater linkages are VERY different - try and get the linkages with the motor!!!!!!!

on the same note...... my car has a 13t which is slowly dying, it's gonna go to a 2tgeu eventually.... is this the same conversion as well??

yep throttle linkages are a hassle, could look into cable setup with an RA60 or similar pedal. also might need a manual choke cable, which connects thru firewall to dash.
could possibly also need-
-electronic coil if your 2TGEU doesn't have the points dizzy
-electronic radiator fan if your 2TGEU has the shorter water pump "thingo "
-electronic fuel pump if you haven't already got one.
-the radiator hoses aren't much of a problem, worst case you will have to buy a $5 straight hose from repco.
-oil, coolant, extra fuel lines, air filters?
Its a great conversion, but theres plenty of little things you need to do, give yourself plenty of time to get it all done. Have fun!! I'm sure you will when u get it running

Sorry it took me so long to get here lol
I'm kinda internet Challenged at the moment so I won't bre online as much for a little while.
BOGKing,
Most of the issues have been well covered already. Your other problem will be the Fuel System. Your 2T has a mechanical fuel pump. You will need to install a high Pressure EFI pump (Electric) and upgrade your fuel hoses (INcluding return line) to High pressure EFI hose and hose clamps.
Other than that that a a breeze !
Good luck with it and enjoy.

While we are on this topic...if i aqquired myself a 1984 RWD Corolla would i be able to fit a 2t block in with the 2tgeu head on it ? I got myself nearlly all the fruit for except manifold/carbys and linkages.
So i got myself starter motor dizzy and coil.
Would the exhaust be a major problem ?

mazda626.......bit more to putting the 2TG head on - there is a whole heap of stuff up front you need like timing chain covers, dummy cam to run the oil pump/dizzy, chain tensioner.....all that comes to mind. they all happen to be pretty hard to get too.

than its not a 2TGEU its just a 2TG. the e is for EFI, and the U is for pollution control stuff.
so yes, piece of cake conversion.
