wait for them to get 15 yrs old 
then you can import over the 15 yr rule. they should be by then around 15-20k

yeah the prices for importing are landed in aus like 15-20k depending on condition and level of modifications, but youd have to allow another 2 or so on top of that for registration+ stamp duty and getting thru regency roughly

Be careful of these cars. $15K or around 550-600k yen FOB is a long way from the 92/93/94 GTRs. Theres generally a reason these cars are cheap... provided the 15 year rules isnt changed (which there is talk of) and you buy one now, leave it in a yard for 6/7 months awaiting import, you could get one relatively cheap. Cheap to buy but that RB26DETT is not a cheap rebuild..

on the prestige list they are going for as little as $16000 landed. They look to be in pretty good condition but there is always a big risk when importing cars. That is the price after they are 15 years old though so they hold them until the end of the year.
