I know the KE30 is slightly heavier. But I am putting a twin charged 2TG into a KE10. Paid $800 for the motor (has forged pistons and came with gearbox) with a TO4 on the side and since added an SC14 ($300), six GTR fuel injectors ($370), half a truck intercooler ($300), Wolf 2D ($300) and extra $'s for other minor bits.
What started as a budget project is already getting out of hand
Reckon the motor should put out close to 300HP on 15 PSI and should be good for low 13 to high 12 second quarters
Reckon that the supercharged 2TGEU could be the cheaper option ( I may be talking out my $%#^ here), and could expect probably high thirteen quarters on 10-12 PSI boost.
I don't know a lot about the 3TGTEU's but would think about the same given similar boost levels.
Expense is determined on how cheap you can get things, and how much work you do yourself. At a guess expect to spend around $3000 to $5000 all up, doing a lot of the work yourself.
Someone else will probably be more informed to answer the bolt-in bit. I would assume new engine mounts would have to be made though.
Cheers,
Tyron.
