The engine is a 2T Block at heart i think with a 2TGEU Head on it Twin Cam 1600
Will the box bolt up ?
Are the engine mounts the same? or similar ?
Anything else to consider ? I wont bother getting a engineers certificate i dont think it will be needed as its a really big conversion..
Has this conversion been done before ?

I don't know about 84 Corolla's but assuming it already has a 2T or 3T in it, then yes all the engine mounts and bell housing stud pattern will be the same. The 2T and 2TG share pretty much the same bottom end (there are some small ineternal exceptions like the lack of a camshaft in the block).
If you are going from carby to fuel injection (assumed from the 2TGEU) then you will need the computer, loom, fuel pump, throttle cable etc too.

the 84 has the 4AC SOHC 1600 engine in it Non CrossFlow.
Im going for twin side draft carbys for the mean time no mucking around with EFI.

ahh, weren't all 84 corollas FWD?
i thought that the KE/AE70 stopped in 83?
are you putting the 2T in sideways for FWD, or you have an AE70 with 4AC?
if you have a T50, the bellhousing is different, but getting a T motor bellhousing for the T50 should be no drama...

If you're asking if a 2T-GEU head will fit on your existing 4A block, the answer is a definite no. Just because they're both 1600cc engines doesn't mean they're in any way similar.
If you want a relatively straightforward upgrade, a 4A-GE is an easy swap and has been done many times.

hmmm non of you know what i want to do
I want to take out the 4AC engine in a 84 toyota corolla and swap it with the 2tg engine from my cousins old celica.
Whats involved can the box bolt up out of the 84 rolla to the 2tg engine ?

I guess you should learn to express yourself better then.
The answer to both your questions is no. The 4A box is similar to the 2T box, but the bellhousing bolt pattern is different.

Well i thought it was pretty well described..
Anyway, is it possible with a 2tg bellhousing ? id like to use the 4AC box cant afford a 2tg box.
