Exp of Int: One .::TA22 BrisVegas::. Sat, 05 July 2003 10:50 Go to next message
just bought mine 3 weeks ago.

unfortunatly may offload as is too much work, i just need a daily driver that uses zip all fuel. Any one in brissy keen on a Ta22? if so make a reasonable offer please...

i'll be completely honest here guys:

ONE TA22 LT1600 1972:
- 225 brigdestones front and rear ($150ea), plenty of tread left with jellybeans.(one brand new, one 12mth, and two 3yrs, easily pass rwc) story with brand new tyre is previous owner was driving along and the lefthand strut sheared off and cut the tyre and messed up the left hand guard.
- has lHD guard as was from wreckers (undercoated with some thing weird)
- resprayed yellow 3 years ago,(was yellow 33yrs ago from japan)
- just put in sump gasket hoping to stop oil leak, still leaks oil, may be timing cover oil seal? leaks from front of sump.
- fixed heaps of crap, (i means HEAPS) the previous owner had bodged
- 3T motor from 82 celica, with extractors and pipe stright to muffler, sounds sweet! backfire bulub bulb-pop on down rev's
-1 day old set of Bosch super 4 plugs put in, new air filter, new oil filter and shell 15-50 synthetic oil, with nulon stop smoke. New synthetic gearbox and diff oil with nulon L70 treatment in gearbox and diff.
- goes into all gears great, no nasty noises.
- brand new monroe gt gas shocks all round (have boxes still)
- king springs on the front, std height all round though
- has MA70 super wiper motor Very Happy
- nice sports steering wheel and shift knob, driver seat from 82 celica
- self retracting seatbelt'son passager and drivers side.
- clutch slips a little when carrying more than one person
- brake pads good for rwc.
- steers good
- sunroof 15x30inch pop-up style.
- rust in the usual places.
- rinho car alarm
- clarion tape/am/fm radio, with two water damaged speakers (i didn't know they were Confused )

- interior is average / good. except the car was pinched and dumped down the road from the previous owner, the kids riped up ll the air ducting and under the glovebox so wires are a hanging here and there.

only thing left to fix for rwc is oil leak. i ran out of time to transer the rego over, so it needs to be re-registered

any interest?

i paid $500, and spent $850 on her

make an offer...will consider anything reasonable.

you just want the wiper motor don't ya, yeah i know your kind Laughing [/sarcasm]

no worries, i just wanna know if she's worth selling after what i've spent on her, i garantee no suprises - unless you find something i haven't in last 3 weeks, i might add there is some rust in places where roof racks would normally go, but only on passenger side Confused

oh yeah i keep remembering things, the front right hand bearing has a little movement, if i think of anything else i'll post here.
will be sorta free sunday arvo, (helping put in engine into bro's car) how much you thinking? $$$ or will you make an offer on site?

cheers,

Alex

I would have to see it before making offers, but I can guarantee you wont get your money back if you sell it.
