Oh Well it's worth a try..
It's just that where the panel meets the antenna is such an extreme angle most of the other aerials ive seen don't fit...
Is there any aerial out there that will fit at that angle.. that anybody has seen in a shop etc..
Cheers!!

I have the same car and I'm also looking for an electric aerial. I've also noticed that some RA60s have an electric aerial in the same position (right rear, about 60 degree angle or something) that may suit.
The Aerpro solution is not cheap.. one price I just nabbed off the net was $150 for automatic aerial and high angle head assembly. About $110 from supercheap for other models that won't fit.
Let me know if you think you have something that might suit.

There was a 2nd Gen RA40 at P 'n P at Blacktown today...the drivers side lens was still there...as for the aerial...do you have one at all or ar you looking for one complete..if its just stuck/jammed its a tangled cable usually..

Old post mate!
Haha... I don't think my car will make it up there!!
Thanks for the offer anyway... I'm living without an aerial at the moment with some duct tape covering the hole. Besides the aerial is the least of my problems now considering the rust my car has contracted. I've had it with this car and will be replacing it with a car that is at least younger than me. Not going to wreck it though I'll just give her to my bro...
Cheers mate!!

Yeah, sorry for dredging this thread up but it was relevant. The little used "Power of the Search Button"
Sean: I've sourced a cheap electric aerial I can modify but I'd much rather the original. Can you confirm it works and let me know how much you want for it? I can pick it up.
Cheers

Thanks Sean but I've installed the cheapy aerial.
For the record:
The head of the old unit fit the new one. The new unit comes with a bracket that is easily bent into shape. The original switch can be used (set up is manual up and down) but the wiring onto the unit is altered.
PM me if anyone wants to know the finer details.
