I'm after longer lower arms. The car in this case is TT-132. Length of my current lower arms is 31.5cm from middle of pivot point to middle of ball joint and overall length is 37cm. According Haynes manual, stock camber is +1º. I want it to be around 1.5º on negative side. After four hours of calculation (yes, I'm that lousy in maths Razz ), I get my result. My longer arms should be 18mm longer, better double check that though Laughing . Anyways, what Toyota or some other car (Mitsubishi, Datsun?) might have longer lower arms. Only Toyotas that comes to my mind is Cressida and maybe Celica Supra, but those Supras are here like whales in lakes, virtually non-existing. So, can some-one measure Cressida arms? Lengthening of my current ones is illegal like modifying any suspension parts around here. Another interesting still planning stage option is to find early eighties Hiace, one with straight lower arm and wish-bone type upper arm, but those arms might be way too rough desing Rolling Eyes . I know for sure that Hiace pivot point bush is different than most of the RWD Toyotas and most likely ball joint attachment is too. I think that eventually I end up building longer arms in lack of better options.

I'm sorry I dont understand you very well, maybe because clock is 4am and my mind already snores Laughing . I have ever seen 2 *A-40 Celicas, so those are imported but not very numerous. 22mm would be something closer 2º negative camber. Gotta do some calculations.

I just fitted MX73 arms (which I presume are the same as MA61??) to my car for this very reason, but it didn't entirely fix the problem - due to twisted chassis Rolling Eyes

I can measure them later, but I'd say they're about 13mm longer than your present arms, whereas the MX62 ones are about 50...

It IS legal and safe to weld them, provided you brace them and do a good job of it.

Another option would be some offset bolts/bushses on the crossmember end. These are a bit fiddly to fit, but will do the job. Then there's always strut tops...

Now I have double checked. I need 22mm longer ones to get 1.5º neg. camber.

1. Those arms dont share same part number, but it's most likely that those are very similar.

2. Please, do measure those.

3. I dont have issues with welding lower arms. I trust highly to my welding skills. I have access to dozens of welding machines (tigs, migs, arc welders...). Inspection engineers are those who (might) have issues.

4. You forget to mention negative camber rca's. Yet I like best, the idea of increasing track width. It would hopefully make my car more stabile, bodyroll wise. Strut tops would be good, but importing them from USA (who sells in europe?) would cost several hundred of dollars, after taxes and I dont have $$$.

CelicaRA45: If those arms that you got are 22mm longer. Are you then sure that those are from MX-62? Im just pointing to mrshin's post...

stuff all this maths crap the easiest solution is to have the inner side of your control arms rose-jointed. that way you can chose whatever settings you like. this is what i am running in my sprinter right now. although it isnt exactly easy to change the camber cause you gotta unbolt the control arm, its allows for great adjusment. and it doesnt take that long once youve done it a couple of times. its really is a good idea, i do have one pic only of my lower arms but it isnt a good pic, maybe i should take another one sometime. anyone wanna lend me a digital camera??? Smile
