2TGUE block question!

Hi guys,
I need some advice about the 2tgue blocks. I have two of these and was wondering if there are any differences between these two engine numbers.
2T 8172173 and 2T 8211043, will they be the same internally?
Will one be better for fitting a 3T crank without have to grind it?
Would have the design changed between the two?

heya there benny, i dont know the difference in the nubers , but i do know that if it was originally a 2t not 2tg then you will have to grind the block, but if it was always a 2tg then you will have no worries, so if the two you have were both 2tgeu's then you have now worries using either of them

Agree Justin. However if the block was an early 2TG (pre 2TGEU) it will also have to be ground. Only the 2TGEU will fit the 3T crank with out grinding (the block). Well at least that is what I have read at the toysports web site

Ben,
I don't have anything that lets us know what blocks were for the 2TGEU and what was for the 2T. ALL late model T series blocks will take the 3T crank no worries and it really is a simple and easy process for an early block to be ground for the crank by an engine machinist. I personally wouldn't worry about it at all and just use the best block you have.
