just wondering if the 2tg requires a fuel pressure regulator for the carbs (twin solex). at the moment i just have a low pressure pump running straight to the carbs, and a return line that isn't actually doing anything. engine seems to be happy, so i'm wondering what opinions everyone has. should i bother with a high pressure pump and a fuel pressure reg? cheers.

i'm pretty sure it was about 11 to 12 litres per 100 km i was getting out of it. that's just normal driving with the occasional burst of wide open throttle, but i'm not sure how accurate it is, coz the engine's just been put in, timing seems way out, and the carbs haven't been tuned up yet.

John,
A returnline is a good idea and a fuel pressure regulator is a pretty good idea but generally not required unless you fit a high volume Carby pump designed for motorsport or similar applications.
Tina's 2/3TG got 10k's per litre (10 litres per 100k) and that was City driving.
