Non Wallies around Melbourne

It would be nice to get a little group of people together around the Melbourne area who can who for drives together etc., but without the 'wally factor' that has infected any other 'cruise' club/groups. Just a bunch of people who are interested in DRIVING, not parking in shopping centres, doing single wheelers in their VLs, etc. Hows about it? Let's get a bit of a mailing list or something going, so everyone can make suggestions about when they're gonna be doing car related stuff, and invite your (non wally!) friends along.
Wally = people with neons, F&F impersonators, those that drive (?) with their seat in the reclined position, those with abundant stickers on their cars, etc. - you know who you are!

Will do. Should we/I start some kind of register for this? Perhaps put it on a webpage? Send me your relevant details, I guess!

Mrshin - count me in for the odd roadtrip - id much prefer the idea of actually travelling 100KM outside of a city for a DRIVE than doing the same distance throwing blockies around the CBD and being a poser wally ..
we build cars to enjoy them - and thats Really no way to get full enjoyment out of a car - unless you can really DRIVE it ..
Check many times of postings of Great Ocean Road Cruise ...
did i mention MANY ??

That's the idea - I like to try and drive a few hundred KM when I go for a drive, get some corners in there, enjoy myself - and it's good to do it with a few reasonable people, where we can maybe stop somewhere and do something like have a barbie rather than compare neons

fuck oooofff !
bring on the big cruises - and the bends! my Gt4 was designed to eat corners for breakfast and bolt thru hairpins for dinner
lets see if we get a bigger response from more vic toy-nuts:)
a suggestion - post this also in the Victorian section so it can be found easier ?

Yeah, Great Ocean Road could be good - I'll certainly try to make time for it!
I think my problem is that I:
a. Don't live in the western suburbs
b. Have no cousins
c. Have no fulsik accessories (of which there are MANY!)
d. Never buy anything from autobard
e.....
(I could go on!)

i nearly succumb to the lure of toyota Shoulder pads - with the TRD logo on it the other day at autobarn - So far i have resisted the temptation but i hate how the seatbelt does cut into me a bit
Anyway Shin - post another version of this in the victorian section to guage response - it will be easier for vic's to find it there + proabbly get more interest happening from non wallies

The pads are sold as a kit with the T O Y O T A windscreen schticker, aren't they???
Anyways, lets try and make a night in the next few weeks where you can come on over for a drive, even if nobody else round here wants to!
