a normal polish wont get these out, but a cutter is too harsh... what i recommend, and what i use is Meguiars Professional Swirl Remover No.9. not cheap at about $30, but it really works.

if you are mega fussy, follow this up with a glaze (not totally necessary as swirl remover leaves it quite nice). avoid using a polish (especially a cheap one) as this will spoil all you hard work. either leave it at that, or go onto a glaze.

then go to a dedicated spearate wax (i recommed paste wax - again Meguiars Yellow Wax No.26 (~$30) - apsolutely MINT) try to avoid being sucked into using liquid wax. paste wax is harder to use, but for the cost will last you longer, and provide a better longer lasting shine.

forget about using a buff, all by hand, will take a good 4 - 6 hours (allow a full day, and lots of beer and friends) using soft old T-shirts for buffing and soft foam applicator pads for application. and do it all in the shade!!!

hope this helps.

A good cut and polish should do the trick!

Make that a good cut and polish by hand! No buffers or shit like that!
