how much does a 2jz-ge engine go for these days?
no gearbox.
and also a bellhousing,flywheel and clutch to connect it to an ma61 w58.

i dont think this has been directly answered before, but if i am wrong plz direct me to a thread as i couldnt find it after searching...

You can pick up complete engine with loom and ECU for as little as $800. Half cuts are near impossible to find because, let's face it, who the hell wants one?
Your next issue will be finding a front sump for it to fit in your MA61. The other sticking point will be finding a bellhousing and flywheel...you need one from a manual 2JZGE JZA80 or SC300. These 3 items may cost as much as your bargain basement engine.

ie aristo? or were they turbo only? im not to sure on models and stuff so i quite possibly could be talking shit

Aristo/GS300, not sure what else (Chaser????). The common 2JZGEs will be out of JZA80s or SC300s and hence will have the wrong sump (rear mid). Crowns (JZS141) have a true mid sump.

bought a front sump today (1JZ sump is the same as 2J sump) cost $250 and i was happy to pay that for it. and dont forget to bargain for,
mounts
clutch,flywheel,pressureplate assembly
p/steer hoses
exhaust
wiring
labour
thermofans
as well as the things mentioned before.

oh well if i do itll be my second 2JZGE conversion so i should be able to sort out all the hassles with the one im doing atm,
bah, youll never get the cash to pull it off anyway.
